Washington, D.C.Bryan Pelley, Protagonist’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) was recently named to the National Small Business Association (NSBA) Leadership Council. NSBA is the nation’s oldest small business advocacy organization, and operates on a staunchly nonpartisan basis. Pelley, a recognized leader in the small-business community, joins the NSBA Leadership Council alongside other small business advocates from across the country as they work to promote the interests of small business to policymakers in Washington, D.C.

“Building and growing an innovative small business like Protagonist, I’ve learned first-hand the importance of being involved and active when it comes to the laws and regulations that can help–or hinder–our success as a company,” stated Pelley. “Joining NSBA’s Leadership Council will enable me to take a more meaningful role in addressing the issues that affect small business–by taking our collective message to the people that need to hear it most: Congress.”

Bryan Pelley joined Protagonist in 2013 and became Protagonist’s COO in 2018. Prior to being named COO, he held other executive-level positions within the company, including Executive Vice President (EVP) for Customer Solutions and EVP for Analytics and Insights. Before Protagonist, Pelley spent over a decade in various leadership roles with boutique consulting firms supporting U.S. Government clients. Pelley is a former U.S. Army officer who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Pelley joined the NSBA Leadership Council as part of his efforts to tackle the many critical issues facing small business, including access to credit, support for robust small business contracting, and strengthening federal innovation programs. The NSBA Leadership Council is focused on providing valuable networking between small business advocates from across the country while ensuring small business a seat at the table as Congress and regulators take up key small business proposals.

“I am proud to have Bryan Pelley as part of our Leadership Council,” stated NSBA President and CEO Todd McCracken. “He came to us highly recommended and I look forward to our coordinated efforts for years to come.”
